About Devin Haney
On September 13th, 2019, Haney won the WBC interim lightweight title by defeating Zaur Abdullaev at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York city. Shortly after, Haney got elevated as the New WBC lightweight champion. Haney successfully defended his new title versus Alfrdeo Santiago on November 9, 2019. With an undefeated record of 24 fights, 15 of them by KO, since his debut on December 11, 2015, Haney is quickly becoming one of the new faces of boxing and already a top boxing attraction.

A young man who has dedicated his life to the sport since he was seven years old, he has won 7 national championships as an amateur, shaping a record of 130-8. He became the youngest member of the national Junior Team and was the youngest boxer to win the Junior World Championship in Nevada. On January 11, Haney took another significant step towards becoming a world champion, by defeating South Africa’s Xolisani Ndongeni by a wide unanimous decision in 10 rounds, in the main event of a card at the StageWorks in Shreveport, Louisiana and capturing the WBC International and WBO Inter-Continental lightweight Titles. Erik Morales Nicknamed “El Terrible,”is a retired Mexican boxing legend and was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of fame in Canastota on June 10th, 2018). Morales compiled a 52-9 record in 61 fights, including 41 straight wins to start his career, and won world titles in four different weight classes (junior featherweight, featherweight, junior lightweight, junior welterweight). He also ended Manny Pacquiao’s six-year unbeaten streak in 2005 with a unanimous decision win. Morales notable fights came against Marco Antonio Barrera (nicknamed “The Baby Face Assassin”). The Morales versus Barrera trilogy is one of Boxing’s most famous fight trilogies of all time, involving two of Mexico’s most revered boxers. About Michael Spinks
Spinks is a two-division world champion, having held the undisputed light heavyweight title from 1983 to 1985, and the lineal heavyweight title from 1985 to 1988. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1994. As an amateur he won a gold medal in the middleweight division at the 1976 Summer Olympics.

Spinks is the brother of former world heavyweight champion Leon Spinks, and uncle of Cory Spinks, a former welterweight and light middleweight champion.
Spinks went undefeated in his first 31 professional fights, beating such opponents as Dwight Muhammad Qawi, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, Marvin Johnson and Eddie Davis en route to becoming the undisputed light heavyweight champion. Following ten successful title defenses, Spinks moved up to heavyweight, and as an underdog defeated long-reigning IBF heavyweight champion Larry Holmes; in doing so, Spinks became the first reigning light heavyweight world champion to win the heavyweight title. Spinks only defeat in his professional career came to the hands of Mike Tyson on June 27, 1988. The International Boxing Research Organization and BoxRec rank Spinks among the ten greatest light heavyweights of all time.

Las Vegas (January 9th, 2020)- Great News for Boxing fans and the Boxing industry with the announcement of the sixth annual Box Fan Expo, which will be returning to Las Vegas during Cinco De Mayo weekend. The hugely popular Boxing Expo will take place at the Cox Pavilion on Saturday May 2, 2020 from 10am to 5pm.

The Box Fan Expo is thrilled to open its doors to boxing fans from all over the world, as well to all major boxing companies, promoters and industry people during this Mexican holiday weekend. Traditionally a major fight will take place in Las Vegas on Cinco de Mayo Weekend.

Last year’s Box Fan Expo was another huge success. The Box Fan Expo also played host to the 2nd annual “Box Fan Expo Invitational 2019”. This was an incredible amateur show which showcased several highly ranked and top USA amateur boxers who competed against the best in their division and more importantly in front of thousands of boxing fans that attended the Expo. Those invited to compete had a chance to get huge exposure and get noticed by top boxing companies as well as industry people that were present during the event.

HELPING A GREAT CAUSE
The Box Fan Expo Invitational amateur show had an opportunity to collaborate and help Center Ring Boxing Club. Center Ring Boxing is a non-profit organization that was established in 1994 in the Las Vegas area, with the Mission of facilitating programs for youth, ages 8 to 18 and their families. They promote and improve image of boxing as a sport and to provide positive interactions that facilitate educational, physical, mentoring programs which is a great positive influence and mental growth for those young kids looking to improve their self-esteem and personal lives.

For the 2nd straight year, the Invitational amateur competition was sponsored by Mayweather Promotions.

Hearns more famously known as “The Hitman”, became the first boxer in history to win world titles in four divisions. He would also become the first fighter in history to win five world titles in five different divisions. Hearns was named Ring Magazine fighter of the year in 1980 and 1984 and is best known for his fights with Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler and Roberto Duran.
