Reading, PA (June 29, 2020)–.Former Two-time world welterweight champion Kermit Cintron (39-6, 30 KOs) would like to let former world middleweight champion Sergio Martinez, that if he were to comeback, it should be against him.

After recent reports that Martinez will end his retirement, Cintron is adamant that a rematch of the two world champions is inevitable.

On February 14, 2009, Cintron and Martinez fought to a disputed draw in Sunrise, Florida, and now is the time for the two to settle the score.

“I see that he is coming back, and I want the opportunity to face him. We have some unfinished business from our fight in 2009, and this is the time to do it. There were various opinions on that fight. If the fight needs to be in Spain, Argentina or wherever, my Passport is up-to-date, and I am willing to travel,” said Cintron

“This is a no brainer fight for the promoters, but it is up to Sergio. I am sure he would like to avenge the draw, so let’s make it happen.”

Said Marshall Kauffman of King’s Promotions, “This would be a great fight. It’s two former world champions looking for that one last shot at something significant. The winner would have that. I will reach out to his representatives, and try to make this fight happen.”

Reading, PA (November 23, 2019)– Tonight’s scheduled main event at The Riveredge Restaurant in Reading, PA between Kermit Cintron and Josue Obando is off due to Obando failing to show up.

The pro-am card promoted by My Time Promotions in association with King’s Promotions will still go on.

Obando never stepped on the plane from Mexico, and therefore the fight was scrapped.

“We have had a signed contract for six-weeks, and the kid never showed up,” said Cintron’s promoter Marshall Kauffman of King’s Promotions. “Kermit worked very hard to weigh-in at 168.2 pounds. Kermit will get in the mix as he defeated Alfredo Angulo several years ago, and he just got a big win over Peter Quillin, so Kermit will be looking to fight anyone at 168 pounds.”

The show will feature two professional and 10 amateur fights beginning at 6 PM ET.

Reading, PA (November 7, 2019)– On Saturday night, November 23rd, My Time Promotions will stage it’s Inaugural card with a special Pro-Am card at The Riveredge Restaurant in Reading, Pa.

My Time Promotions is headed up by Heavyweight contender Travis Kauffman.

Kauffman will be promoting his 1st show in the same venue as his father, Marshall Kauffman of King’s Promotions promoted his 1st show on August 21, 1994. That day happened to be Travis Kauffman’s 9th

The professional part of the card will have three bouts, which will be headlined by former welterweight world champion Kermit Cintron.

Cintron will be making his maiden voyage in the super middleweight division when he takes on Josue Obando in a six-round bout.

Cintron of 39-6-3, 30 KOs of Reading, will be fighting at home eighth time. He won his 1st 24 fights which included wins over Leon Pearson (9-1-1), Said Ouali (7-0), Omar Davila (12-2), Ian Mackillop (14-1), Luis Rosado (29-5), Elio Ortiz (25-6). He won the WBO Interim Welterweight title with a 8th round stoppage over Teddy Reid on July 17, 2004.

After losing the title, Cintron defeated David Estrada (18-2) and then won the IBF Welterweight title with a 6th round stoppage over Mark Suarez (25-2). Cibtron defended the title twice with stoppage wins over Walter Matthysse (26-1) and Jesse Feliciano.

After losing the IBF belt, Cintron continued to defeated good competition such as Lovemore Ndou (46-10-1), Alfredo Angulo (15-0), Juliano Ramos (15-2), Antwone Smith (20-2-1), Jonathan Batista (14-1), and Ronald Cruz (20-2).

Bethlehem, PA (February 15, 2018) – This past Tuesday night, junior welterweight Mykal Fox took an eight-round unanimous decision over tough Ricardo Garcia in the main event of an eight-bout card at the
Sands Bethlehem Event Center.

The card was promoted by King’s Promotions.

Fox of Forestville, Maryland remained undefeated by using his long reach, as he used his jab and nice left hands. Garcia landed haymaker shots from time to time, but over the second half of the fight, Fox made the proper adjustments and timed Garcia lunging in. The damage inflicted by Fox was evident as Garcia’s left eye began to swell midway through the fight. In round seven, with his eye nearly shut, Garcia ate a right hook that put him on the canvas.

Fox, 141.8 lbs of Forestville, Maryland took the decision by scores of 78-73 twice and 77-74 to further his perfect mark to 16-0. Garcia, 142.1 lbs of Dominican Republic dropped his 2nd straight fight, and is now 14-2.

Former two-time world welterweight champion Kermit Cintron and Marquis Taylor fought to a no-contest after an accidental headbutt caused a bad cut on the right eyelid of Cintron.

The end came at 35 seconds of round three of the scheduled eight-round super welterweight bout.

Colby Madison fought through a cut on the bridge of his nose to win a six-round unanimous decision over Dante Selby in a heavyweight bout.

Madison, 247 lbs of Owings Mills, MD won by scores of 60-54 & 59-55 twice to remain undefeated at 6-0-1. Selby, 230 lbs of Philadelphia is 2-4-1.

Blake Mansfield stopped Darryl Bunting in round five of their scheduled six-round middleweight bout.

The bout was entertaining as the two landed good shots on each other. Bunting was cut over his right eye from a punch in round two. Mansfield was deducted a point in round four as his mouthpiece came out several times.

Mansfield ended the fight in round five when he landed a hard combination that had Bunting in trouble on the ropes. Several hard an unanswered punches later, the fight was stopped at 36 seconds.

Mansfield, 162.4 lbs of Burington, NC is 6-1-1 with four knockouts. Bunting, 163 lbs of Asbury Park, NJ is 3-3-2.

Michael Coffie won a four-round unanimous decision over tough Nicoy Clarke in a heavyweight bout.

Coffie, 269 lbs of Brooklyn, NY won all cards 40-36, and is now 2-0. Clarke, 206.8 lbs of Jersey City, NJ was making his pro debut.

Juan Sanchez stopped Sergio Aguilar in the final scheduled round of the their four round featherweight bout.

Sanchez scored knockdowns in round one, two in round two, and finished the show with a hard left that sent Aguilar down and out with just five seconds remaining in the bout.

Sanchez, 125.5 lbs of Allentown, PA is 5-0 with two knockouts. Aguilar, 123 lbs of Homestead, FL is 2-7.

Kendall Cannida made a successful pro debut with a four-round unanimous decision over Leroy Jones in a cruiserweight bout.

Philadelphia, PA (July 13, 2017) – The scintillating Pennsylvania Junior Middleweight championship bout that took place on June 24th between former two-time world champion Kermit Cintron and knockout artist Tyrone Brunson will have at least four airings in Philadelphia area in the coming weeks.

The first airing will this Friday night, July 14th at 9:30 PM ET on The Comcast Network.

Subsequent airings will be on Comcast Sportsnet on Wednesday, July 19th at 9 PM; Sunday, July 23rd at 11 PM and Wednesday, August 2nd at 8:30 PM.

The bout, which was won by Brunson via 5th round stoppage had five knockdowns, and saw Brunson come back from almost-certain defeat and take out Cintron in what ringside observers are calling a sure-fire Fight of the Year candidate.The match is added to the list of classic fights in the long storied history of Philadelphia boxing.

“For the fans that were inside the 2300 Arena, they can witness this great fight again, and for those who only heard about it, they are in for a treat,” said King’s Promotions CEO, Marshall Kauffman.
